Front Ensemble will meet in Broyhill Music Center, Room 214

The clinics are not required, but is highly recommended as you will learn skills and routines to be presented for the audition day.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: What should I bring to the auditions/clinics?

A: All attendees should bring sticks or mallets, a practice pad, a binder with the printed audition packet, athletic clothing, and a water bottle.

Q: I will still be a high school student next year. Can I still come to the clinics/audition?

A: Yes! High school students are strongly encouraged to come to our two clinics. The audition on May 3rd is reserved for those who are auditioning for next year's ensemble. 

Q: Can I audition on more than one instrument?

A: Yes! Please indicate all instruments that interest you in your interest form. Your goal should be to make the ensemble, so having multiple instrument choices will help you achieve your goal. 

Q: What does a clinic/audition day look like?

A: Check-In for each event will begin at 8:30 AM in the Broyhill Music Center, so be sure to arrive early! Each clinic/audition day will be from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM with a one hour lunch break (on your own) from 12:00 PM-1:00 PM. Each day will feature a mix full ensemble and sub-section rehearsals on the material in the audition packet and any material to be handed out in-person. The audition day will also include an Audition Etude which will be sent out in early April.
